About Us

Wm. Winkler Co. performs heavy civil construction and virtually anything related to concrete, from flatwork to paving to tilt-up, for customers throughout the Northwest.

Position Overview

This position is responsible to perform maintenance activities which support the entire Wm. Winkler Co. operation, ensuring the mission is maintained in a safe, efficient manner, in accordance with safety protocol and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain
  • Load and move dirt, rocks or other materials, using graders or other related equipment
  • Ability to read grade stakes and blue top – GPS experience with Trimble
  • Perform routine inspections on equipment and report any defects
  • Strict adherence to complying with safety policies and procedures
  • Provide support to successful completion of construction and engineering work

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of previous equipment operation required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a blade required
  • Strong finish grade experience required

Schedule

  • 10 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Weekend Availability

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of lifting 25 to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement
  • Sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Bend at the waist, kneel, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
  • Climb ladders/steps
  • Continuous use of hands and fine manipulation
  • Walk varying distances and on uneven ground at times
  • Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, and vibrations
  • Successfully pass a Pre-employment drug test
